Al-fin Spa: a Group that counts
In the Italian context, the extrusion companies which are the shareholders in Al-fin, with 18 extrusion plants, 46 presses and about 2,300 employees, represent, for the production of extruded profiles in the Italian contest, an annual volume of more than 400,000 tonnes/year. With this total production volume of extrusions, Al-fin makes up about 15% of European extrusion production and is the biggest concentration of privated non-integrated companies in this compartment in Europe.

From its very foundation, the main objective of Al-fin has been to acquire sources of raw material supplies and the management of long-term contracts for its shareholders; subsequently, the company’s sphere of interest has extended and has become a service supplier in the true sense of the word in the areas of marketing, technologies, technical development and promotion and the organisation of conferences and fairs.

Al-fin created Edimet Spa in 1988, Metef in 1995, aluplanet.com in 2000, Alumotive (with Ediemt Spa) in 2001, Metalriciclo in 2005 and Aluprogetto in 2006..

Furthermore in 1999 Al-fin gave its important contribution to the creation of F.A.C.E., Federation of Aluminium Consumers in Europe
